A Vivoactive is a watch people wear all day and run in twice a week, which is exactly the case that wears a strap out. The original silicone goes chalky where it folds and the printed keeper splits; both are the parts that get replaced first, and both are what a plain sport strap fixes for under ten dollars.

The width question has one exception worth flagging. The full-size Vivoactive takes 20mm and the smaller 4S takes 18mm, and the two look near enough identical from the front that people order the wrong one. Turn the watch over, measure the slot, and the rest of the page is a colour decision.

What lug width does your Garmin Vivoactive take?

Twenty millimetres on Vivoactive 3, 4, 5 and 6. The smaller Vivoactive 4S takes eighteen. Measure across the slot the old strap sat in if you are not sure which you have.

Will a GEAK Vivoactive band come off your watch without a tool?

Yes, across the shelf. The spring bar has a lever at one end, so the strap comes off with a fingernail and goes back in seconds.

Which GEAK band suits a Vivoactive you run in?
