The big Fenix is the heaviest watch in this catalogue by some way, and a strap for it is doing more work than a strap for a Vivoactive: it has to hold sixty-odd grams still while the wrist it is on is doing something. That is why the 26mm straps here are cut thicker through the tail and given a longer keeper.

The width follows the case rather than the generation. The X models - 5X, 6X, 7X and the 51mm Fenix 8 - take 26mm, and the smaller cases in the same range take 22mm. Read the case size off the back before ordering, because two Fenix watches on a table look the same size and are not.

What people ask about GEAK Garmin Fenix bands

Does your Fenix take a 26mm GEAK band?

The large cases: Fenix 5X, 6X, 7X and the 51mm Fenix 8. The mid-size cases in the same generations take 22mm.

Will a 26mm band feel heavier on you than a 22mm one?

Slightly, and deliberately. The extra width and a thicker tail are what stop a sixty-gram watch swinging on the wrist.

Will a GEAK Fenix band go on your watch without a tool?

They use standard quick-release spring bars, which is what the 22mm and 26mm lugs on these watches accept. A strap goes on with a fingernail and no tool.
