This stainless steel milanese mesh replaces the strap the watch was sold with and sits flat against the case where the lugs meet. It fastens with a magnetic catch so there are no links to remove, and the fine weave gives a close, continuous line from lug to lug. You will notice the change at once.
After a month the mesh has softened visually without losing its shape. Small marks may show on the surface where the band rubs against metal or fabric, and the magnetic catch will sit in the same place you leave it. The band settles in as part of your watch.

A strap is a strap. It does not change what a watch measures, it does not make a watch more water-resistant than the watch already is, and nothing here is a medical device.
