A printed pattern on a silicone strap has a lifespan, and it is short: the ink sits on the surface, the surface folds at the buckle a hundred times a week, and within a few months there is a pale line across the flowers. Engraving is the answer to that, and it is the whole reason this line exists.
Because the pattern is a change in the surface rather than a layer on it, what you see is light catching in the cut. That means the effect is strongest on the mid-tone colours and quietest on black, which is worth knowing before choosing: the same design reads as a texture on a dark strap and as a picture on a pale one.

Will the pattern wear off your GEAK engraved band?
There is nothing on top to wear off. The pattern is cut into the silicone, so it is still there when the strap has faded half a shade with sun and washing.
Does your Fitbit take one of the engraved GEAK bands?
Versa 3, Versa 4, Sense and Sense 2 on one fitting, and Charge 5 and Charge 6 on another. Each band page names the trackers it is moulded for.
Will an engraved GEAK band feel thicker on you than a plain one?
No. The engraving takes material away rather than adding it, so the strap is the same thickness as the plain sport band and sits the same way under a cuff.
