A watch does not get dropped; it gets swung into a door frame. That is why the part of the glass that goes first is the corner, and why a bumper with a raised lip over the face is worth more than a flat film on the screen. These cases flex on over the corner and stand a fraction of a millimetre proud of the glass, so the frame takes the knock.
They come three to a box for the same reason a bicycle inner tube does. TPU takes the scratch the watch would have taken, and after a few months of that it looks like it has done the job. Three of them is a year of them, and the replacement is a ten-second swap with the strap still on the watch.

Which case size do you need for your Apple Watch?
The same number as the watch: a 41mm watch takes a 41mm case. The size is engraved on the back of the case and shown in the Watch app under General, About.
Do you have to take a GEAK case off to change the band?
No. The case is cut around the band slots rather than over them, so the strap slides out with the case in place.
Will a GEAK case stop your screen breaking?
It puts a raised TPU lip between the glass and whatever the watch meets, which is what takes the everyday knock. It is a bumper, not a guarantee, and we do not sell it as one.
